The short decision

Start with the missing workflow

Broadcasts, automated follow-up, publication monetization and course funnels lead to different shortlists.

Price the required plan

Check audience, sends, feature gates and payment charges before moving.

Why users compare MailerLite alternatives

MailerLite’s Free allowance combines a subscriber cap with a monthly send cap. A creator may instead need publication monetization, more automation, a store integration or course delivery. Moving to an unlimited-send plan alone does not resolve every one of those requirements.

Current price basis

Compare the whole email budget

Audience × sending × required workflow

Record active subscribers, stored contacts, monthly deliveries and the largest single-day send. Then add the paid tier for automation, selling or publication features.

Keep monthly subscriptions separate from annual-billed equivalents. Product or membership selling can add payment charges even when the vendor’s platform transaction fee is zero.

A small-list capacity example

Illustrative workload: 300 subscribers receiving four broadcasts need 1,200 deliveries in a month, before follow-up. That send count is below MailerLite Free’s monthly allowance, but the audience exceeds its subscriber cap. Kit Free and beehiiv Launch cover that broadcast audience; Brevo Free would use its full daily allowance for one 300-recipient send. This arithmetic is not a sending-performance test.

What to check before switching

  • Export consent records, unsubscribes and suppressions alongside subscriber addresses. Keep the suppression list active in the destination.
  • Translate tags, groups and segments into explicit rules. Map each trigger, delay, branch and purchase event; an imported list is not an imported workflow.
  • Rebuild forms and landing pages, update embeds and confirm confirmation emails, redirects and double opt-in settings.
  • Verify sender-domain authentication and the destination’s domain instructions before moving live sending.
  • Ask separately about paid subscriber billing, digital-product files, customer access, publication archives and referral records. Do not assume portability.
  • Pilot a small consenting segment and a test purchase. Keep the existing setup available until capture, sending and customer access work.

Questions buyers ask

No. Check sends, automation and capture pages separately. A free broadcast plan may require payment for the welcome sequence you use today.

Only if publication is the real requirement. Preserve purchase events, customer segments and order-data connections; a newsletter monetization feature does not establish ecommerce workflow equivalence.

That conclusion is not supported here. Recreate a representative message and check mobile layout, forms, sending and the paid automation tier before deciding.
